Proof of Concept

The Intalio|Cloud Proof of Concept is designed to help the customer assess the suitability of the Intalio private cloud offering.

Proof of Concept (POC)

POCs typically span 6 months and do not include the preparation for production use nor business readiness. Proof-of-Concept projects are typically supported by a full-time Cloud Expert and a half-time Cloud Administrator responsible for system administration. Proof of Concept projects depend largely on the customers’ business requirements and success criteria. They are therefore typically carried out in five phases

Five Phases of a Proof of Concept

Project planning

A rough-cut project plan for the POC is created. High-level goals are defined, roles of participants identified and rough-cut milestones and activities are agreed.

Training

Customers receive detailed trainings on all aspects of the Intalio|Cloud solution. The training is performed by the Cloud Expert and delivered at customer site. This allows all involved participants to understand the possibilities of the Intalio|Cloud applications as well as of the PaaS and IaaS layers.

Detailing of goals, success criteria and detailing of project plan

Based on a detailed understanding of the Intalio|Cloud solution, goals get broken down into tangible deliverables based on the customer needs. Success criteria get defined and a detailed project plan is created to meet the success criteria. Success criteria often contain the successful demoing of custom-specific applications to defined target groups or individuals.

Implementation

The project team is implementing the activities defined in the project plan. This typically contains the creation of extension to Intalio|Cloud applications but also the development of custom-specific applications. By doing this, the customer’s employees get detailed hands-on experience allowing them a thorough detailed assessment of the solution.

Final assessment and planning for next steps

Assessment of the project and the Intalio|Cloud solution based on the defined success criteria. Based on the assessment and the knowledge acquired, the customer and Intalio create a plan for next steps post the POC.
