Production Preparation

A service to ensure that the Intalio|Cloud deployment is planned and that personnel are trained to get started on the cloud platform.

Production Preparation

Production Preparation projects are limited in time, usually 6 months (or 4 months when following a Proof of Concept, or POC). The project contains preparation for go-live, both technically and businesswise. The main difference to a POC is the need to bring the entire stack of the offering to production (hardware, software, integration, support, etc.) and business readiness (marketing support, knowledge transfer, etc.) within the project’s timeframe. Production Preparation projects come with a higher degree of customer support to meet the production deadline:

• Cloud Expert / Project Manager
• Cloud Administrator
• Ramp-up of support resources
• Integration into the customer’s target landscape

Production Preparation projects depend largely on the customers’ business goals, go-live plans and preparation. They are therefore typically carried out in five phases.

Five Phases of Production Preparation

1. Project planning

• A detailed assessment of the customer’s business plan and the implication on the cloud project is performed.

• A rough-cut project plan for the project is created. High-level goals are aligned with the customer’s business plan, roles of participants identified and rough-cut milestones and activities are agreed.

2. Training

Customers receive detailed training on all aspects of the Intalio|Cloud solution. The training is performed by the Cloud Expert and delivered at customer site. This allows all involved participants to understand the possibilities of the Intalio|Cloud applications as well as of the PaaS and IaaS layers. For customers that have gone through a Proof-of-Concept before, the training is limited to new project members.

3. Detailing of Project Plan and Go-Live Plan

A detailed and holistic project plan including all aspects of the customer’s SaaS solution is created:

o Go-to-Market
o Application provisioning & sign-up
o Billing and pricing
o Service Level Agreements
o Required product adaptations
o Support training and ramp-up
o Integration with the customer’s environment
o Training and Demos
o Testing and go-live support

4. Implementation

The project team is implementing the activities defined in the project plan.

5. Go-Live Preparation

• Final testing
• Pilot customer program
