AJAX on the up. According to an investigation by the Gartner international market research company, Web 2.0 technologies such as AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) will soon have reached the necessary degree of maturity according to a publication in the Computerwoche newspaper to permit their use in companies’  enterprise environments. AJAX serves the development of dynamic and faster browser applications which already come very close to classical desktop applications in terms of comfort and usability. Gartner is convinced of the success of this client-side programming technology. The real value of AJAX is that on the server side very large and complex applications are easy for the user to handle.

Company are also increasingly recognising this. For a study on the occasion of the AJAX World Conference in California came to the conclusion that half of all companies questioned want to introduce AJAX applications within the next two years. AJAX is now taken just as seriously as any other important IT technology.
